The park in Helsinki was referred by Jan Sibeliys’s name, where there is a memorial to the composer. The Academy of Music was also named after him.

Churches in Helsinki

The most famous among more than 60 churches in Helsinki are the Assumption Cathedral (1868) and the Temppelinaykio Church (1969).
The majestic building of the Assumption Cathedral has made of red brick in the Byzantine style. It charms with its golden domes and icons.

The Temppelinaykio Church (otherwise “Snow Church” or “The Church in the rock”) is on the square with the same name. This unique church is carved into the granite rock. The delightful concerts of organ music are often held in the Temppelinaykio Church.
